Opeyemi Bamidele, Senate Majority Leader, has praised Godswill Akpabio, Senate President, for his leadership, stating that President Bola Tinubu “sleeps well” due to Akpabio’s presence.
Bamidele made this remark at an event celebrating Akpabio’s 62nd birthday in Abuja on Monday.
Bamidele emphasized that Tinubu takes Akpabio’s words “very seriously” and trusts him.

He expressed his colleagues’ pride in Akpabio’s leadership, saying, “We are very proud of you. We just want to thank you for who you are and we want to thank you for the kind of leadership that you provide.”
Adams Oshiomhole, Senator representing Edo North, also commended Akpabio for uniting the Senate and promoting democracy.
He stated that Akpabio has demonstrated the ability to tolerate debates and remind senators that democracy thrives on controversies.
