Akeredolu’s Widow Berates INEC Over U.S Presidential Poll

Former First Lady of Ondo State, Betty Akeredolu, has berated the Independent National Electoral Commission, describing it as a ‘dishonest institution’.

It was gathered that Mrs. Betty’s statement is coming, following a recent Presidential election conducted in the United States of America, last week.

Recall that Former President, Donald Trump, defeated incumbent Vice President, Kamala Harris to secured his return to Whitehouse.

Mrs. Betty slammed INEC’s officials for taking them close to a week to count 23 millions votes while U.S used just 10 hours to completed counting of 155 million votes.

Speaking via her X account on Wednesday, the former First Lady of Ondo said: “Just thinking.

“2023 Nigerian Presidential Election Total Votes Cast: 25 million Counting Duration: 5 days.

“2024 U.S Presidential Election Total Votes Cast: 155 million Counting Duration: Approx. 10 hours

“Moral: When dishonesty is prioritized, simple things become difficult.”
